Fabricated Space, Drawings, 2014-2019

Fabricated Space
Fabricated Spaces are a series of large graphite drawings I created using a combination of photographs, memory and imagination as my source material. The drawings are of interior spaces. The photographs I used I took myself over many years in old and new buildings, urban areas and industrial sites. I am always interested in the strangeness of empty, uninhabited places and spaces as they can fascinate and unsettle at the sames time. The drawings are like stage scenes but they have no story, the story is created by the viewer using their own curiosity, memories and stories. My interest is also in the way we see the world, the notion of common realities and personal realities and how we create our physical and psychological worlds.
